Job Description

Pack, load and deliver food to 11 houses five times daily (breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, midafternoon, and supper), as well as facility buildings. Deliveries include meals, milk and dairy products, tube feedings, snacks and supplements, special food service related supplies. Pick up, load, and return to the Campus Food Service Department twice daily dirty meal service items.

Perform a variety of tasks for food service operation including (but not limited to) packing food; stocking food and supplies onto shelves, and into coolers and freezers; pick up and deliver department mail, orders, dirty and clean laundry, and other communication; remove snow from department ramps and steps; assist with serving at meal time; pick up special order items from Perry; fill department trucks with gas; and assist with washing and storing pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and utensils.

Complete daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning assignments, including trash removal, general sanitation, sweeping and mopping.

Train and direct the work of assigned people, which includes co-workers, individuals living at the Woodward Resource Center, and students of Woodward Academy and Woodward-Granger Community School District. Successfully complete assigned training. Complete other duties as assigned. Possession of a valid Iowa driver's license is required

Additional Qualification Requirements

Possession of a valid driver's license is required. Within a period of time after hire, as determined by the appointing authority, employees in this class may be required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and endorsements.

Some positions in this class may require an applicant to have the ability to pass a background investigation.
