The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company's risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo's risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The Enterprise Robotics and Intelligent Automation team delivers and governs intelligent automation across Wells Fargo to increase operational quality and efficiency while reducing risk, ultimately improving WF team member and customer experience. Through enablement, ERIA mentors federated teams to multiply effectiveness across the enterprise, while leveraging geographic diversity to optimize project efficiency.

The ERIA Solutions Consultant will report to the ERIA Products & Solutions Lead and will be responsible for identifying and delivering composite automation solutions for Enterprise and cross-LOB initiatives. The position will support integration of the products and capabilities to create 'reusable' solutions to maximize return.

Specific accountabilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Lead discovery of end to end automation opportunities to build a robust pipeline of high value scalable solutions.

  • Liaise with ERIA, Technology, Operations, Business and Risk partners to ensure automation projects are optimized for efficient implementations

  • Support solution design to create end to end business process automations

  • Drive ongoing automation projects to ensure automation project milestones are achieved in timely manner

  • Assist with ongoing automation projects to troubleshoot potential bottlenecks

  • Identify and mitigate existing business risks associated with solution architecture

A Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate:

  • Automation Experience – An individual with a solid foundation in utilization and advancement of tools and processes designed and utilized within Wells Fargo and/or across the financial services industry

  • Influencing Skills – Proven ability as an effective communicator in virtual matrixed environments. Proven ability to take complex business and technology problems and bring teams to consensus through collaborative architecture and design.

  • Strategic Thinking and Implementation – Thinks strategically about business problems, breaks down problems and presents solutions while evaluating the pros and cons of each option. Identify business opportunities by delivering thoughtful analysis and strong logical thinking. Thinks in new ways about problems and issues. Develops and implements creative solutions to business problems.

  • Financial Services Experience – The ideal candidate should have experience working within large Financial Services companies and across a variety of business lines, in particular within Wells Fargo.

Salary range is determined by location of the job.

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:

Irving TX: Min: $117,600 Mid:$168,000 Max:$218,400

Chandler, AZ :Min: $117,600 Mid:$168,000 Max:$218,400

Des Moines IA: Min: $117,600 Mid:$168,000 Max:$218,400

Charlotte NC: Min: $117,600 Mid:$168,000 Max:$218,400

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of strategic planning experience

  • 5+ years of financial services experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in providing complex automation solutions

  • 3+ years of experience in automation, specifically robotic process automation (RPA)

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives

  • Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives

  • Ability to lead and operate collaboratively, execution focused, and results oriented

  • Ability to initiate action, make difficult decisions, and generate creative solutions

  • Experience translating business needs into complex analysis, designs and recommendations

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • 2+ years of experience recommending intelligent automation solutions and leading end to end automation projects

  • 2+ years of experience in an advanced automation environment utilizing tools such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Document Capture and Rules Engines

  • 2+ years of experience optimizing business processes to achieve maximum benefits

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
