The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

It’s an exciting time to be a part of Wells Fargo’s Strategic Sourcing team. This newly created position will help shape and transform Wells Fargo’s contractor resource program. As a Strategic Sourcing Consultant 2, you will be responsible for working directly with managers and contractor staffing suppliers on the sourcing and engagement of contractor resources and will partner with managers across various lines of business to clarify and understand their needs. This team will ensure supplier compliance with the program.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Meet regularly with businesses to understand contractor resource demand and identify opportunities for savings

  • Manage full lifecycle RFP activities for contractor resources

  • Qualify requests, perform intake calls with managers, and conduct spotlight calls with suppliers

  • Negotiate supplier bill rates to align with current market data and ensure suppliers adhere to rate card

  • Participate in scorecarding and quarterly business review meetings with payroll provider

  • Execute the assessments for validating that payroll supplier is in compliance with subcontracting and manager referral placement requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sourcing, technical sales, consulting, or vendor management demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sourcing, technical sales, consulting, or vendor management

  • 2+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel

  • 2+ years of experience compiling and preparing executive summaries, whitepaper, and presentations for management or senior leaders

  • 5+ years of contract negotiation and pricing experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • 5+ years of Microsoft office suite experience such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • 3+ years’ experience working for Temporary Staffing or Managed Service Provider(s)

  • 3+ years experience with Vendor Management systems such as Beeline or Fieldglass

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000

AZ-Chandler: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000

IA-West Des Moines: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000
