Athene is looking to hire a highly motivated, detailed individual to join our Insurance Operations team as a Document Management Representative. This role provides customer service to the entire organization by opening, prepping, scanning and electronically indexing various incoming documents. The Document Management Representative will also assist with cash handling and processing duties involved as well. This is a fast-paced environment with lots of technology and large volumes of information. This person will be part of a team that touches every department and is an integral part of the daily operations at Athene.
Receives and sorts all incoming mail at an Enterprise level.
Conducts research in various systems to ensure proper routing of mail.
Ensures correct deposit stamp is endorsed on the various checks.
Ensures image quality on the systems.
Performs cash reconciliation process and deposit functions.
Prepares all policy related mail to be scanned to the appropriate business units.
Prepares documentation for any payments received that must be returned due to compliance, AML, legal or business unit requirement.
Interprets and applies exception base processing when needed.
Receives and batches incoming payments in the form of checks, money orders, etc. and ensures they meet AML and other compliance requirements for processing.
Scans appropriate incoming mail.
Qualifications and Experience:
2+ years of mail handling, imaging, work flow or cash processing experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel strongly desired.
Knowledge of annuity, term, traditional and universal life products, both qualified and non-qualified preferred.
Must be able communicate effectively using verbal and written methods.
Takes initiative to be a solution seeker.
Understanding of regulations surrounding annuity contracts and disbursements preferred.
Ability to work as a team player in a time intensive work environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
