The Product Marketing Senior Partner role is responsible for product positioning and marketing of our annuity product portfolio and programs. The position will work with cross-functional teams to deliver marketing support for product enhancements and new product launches by developing the strategy for product positioning, messaging and promotion within the marketing plan. In addition, this position will act as a subject matter expert on product and technical marketing needs for appropriate audiences.
Be a product expert with respect to our annuity products and marketing programs.
Maintain a strong understanding of the annuity industry and where/how Athene’s solutions fit in the financial planning process to deliver differentiated product positioning.
Create and execute marketing strategy that supports the product roadmap’s targeted objectives and goals including execution of go-to-market strategies, development of product materials, sales concepts, training materials and presentations, ensuring all business needs are met.
Leverage data and insights to develop strategies based on marketplace acceptance, marketplace need, emerging market directions and understanding of the competitive environment.
Responsible for ongoing product monitoring including identifying and executing on needed product collateral enhancements to support the marketing, sales and operations processes.
Proactively identify new product positioning opportunities.
Partner across the marketing team to integrate product insights across all retail marketing initiatives.
Assemble and lead cross functional teams as needed to accomplish assigned projects or business objectives. Team composition and duration will vary depending on project business requirements.
Operate within Athene’s project management process, including use of project management software to initiate, track and monitor progress on assigned initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field equivalent experience is required .
Four (4+) years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry in product training, marketing, sales or related business experience.
Proven understanding of annuities and the role annuity products fill in the financial planning process.
Demonstrate experience and understanding of marketing best practices, and how to use data and insights to shape effective marketing strategy.
Excellent communication skills, with ability to develop and articulate compelling business cases and presentations.
Ability to collaborate with and influence at multiple levels within an organization.
Strong project management disciplines. Proven ability to deliver results on time and on budget.
Highly effective problem resolution, analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to identify, assess and create strategic solutions.
Ability to travel occasionally – less than 5% of time.
