Our Mortgage team supports the nation's leading originator and servicer of residential mortgages.

Senior individual contributor accountable for strategic business development in assigned market or segment. Plans and executes strategic activities and projects that directly support the implementation and optimization of efforts to grow segment-specific sales/revenue/ profit/market share while ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and policies. Responsibilities include researching, identifying and selecting best channels, combination of channels and/or products to improve effectiveness and efficiency of coverage in marketplace and meet the unique needs of defined customer/business segments; developing internal and external relationships with bankers, brokers, business and community leaders; developing sales and/or marketing strategies and campaigns; establishing and enhancing relationships with various WF sales and functional groups to develop and execute programs to achieve market penetration, service and profitability goals; defining sales goals, metrics and tracking; developing and executing appropriate communications, processes and sales training; and maintaining/developing expert knowledge of product and delivery channels. Mentors lower level staff. May directly manage 1-2 consultants and/or virtual/cross-functional teams.

This role is a senior individual contributor role accountable for strategic business implementation for the Wells Fargo Advisors (WFA) mortgage segment. Will contribute to planning and execution of key strategic initiatives, activities and projects that directly support the growth efforts of the mortgage channel. Will also be responsible for WFA-specific sales/revenue/profit/market share and client loyalty while ensuring adherence to compliance regulations, policies and WFA business practices. The role will foster an environment to support client and customer preferences on both the physical platform and via virtual/digital options. Promote and position the WFA Centralized and Distributed Retail Teams equally within WFA Interface with key WFA and WFHM participants to optimize the growth of program volume, participation, velocity, portfolio. Take lead in communicating program progress, next steps, and program changes to WFA and WFHM participants. Coordinate and lead applicable WFHM and WFA training. Take ownership to ensure participants from WFHM and WFA are appropriately aligned, and effectively partnering and collaborating.

Other responsibilities:

  • Developing skills of program participants, improving effectiveness and productivity of Certified Home Mortgage Consultants (HMC) within the Distributed Retail and Centralized teams.

  • Positioning the program to meet the unique needs of the WFA customer/business segment; developing internal relationships with financial advisors and WFA leadership; developing and/or implementing sales and/or marketing strategies and campaigns; establishing and enhancing relationships with various WF sales and functional groups to develop and execute programs to achieve market penetration, service and profitability goals; defining of sales goals, metrics and tracking; developing and executing appropriate communications, processes and sales training; maintaining/developing expert knowledge of product and delivery channels.

  • Responsible for carrying out the national program (WFA) sales, growth and quality strategy in an assigned geography involving both the Centralized and Distributed mortgage retail business channels.

  • Business Alignment: Within WF Home Mortgage (WFHM), role interacts with divisional, Market and branch managers, and Certified HMCs. Works closely with WFA managers, WFHM Fulfillment and Sales on improving overall program effectiveness, and on loan escalations. Within WFA, the role interacts with Regional Presidents, Market Managers, Complex Managers, Branch Managers and Financial Advisors, Regional Banking Directors and Managers and with WFA’s Lending and Banking Team.

Preferred locations are Charlotte, NC, Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, Tempe, AZ, and other hub locations will be considered, along with telecommuting options; this candidate must have a willingness to work a flex schedule to fit the hours/time zone of the business geography they will be supporting.

Travel will be required 25% of the time.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: marketing, sales, or financial consulting
