General Function:

As a Marketing Automation Manager you have the opportunity to shape the way Hy-Vee engages with their customers. To be successful, you will bring a deep knowledge of digital marketing, marketing automation, customer data management experience and a passion for analytics.

We are looking for a candidate who is driven to understand what makes consumers tick. They’ll also possess the ability to link insights to strategy and develop marketing efforts to create meaningful experiences for our customers.

Reporting Relations: Vice President, Innovation/Business Development, Director, Loyalty Marketing

Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead marketing automation strategy and execution across Hy-Vee’s marketing properties

  • Build localized campaigns as needed to meet the needs of our stores

  • Work with IT and data science teams to integrate and evolve data requirements as needed.

  • Provide goals, metrics and reporting for internal and vendor use.

  • Work as an integral member of the marketing team, uncovering opportunities to drive Hy-Vee forward.

  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

Education and Experience:

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing. Retail and/or CPG experience preferred but not required. B2C experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

  • 2+ years’ experience working with marketing automation platforms (IBM Watson experience a plus)

  • Experience working with data and analytics, preferably in a Customer Relationship Management systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction, normal depth perceptions.

  • Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is constant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.

Calculator, telephone, copier, Fax, and PC with Microsoft Office programs.

Has daily contact with office personnel, suppliers/vendors and the general public.
