As a CADD/Drafting Technician you will provide specialized support through the application of CADD/CAE technical skills. The incumbent has working knowledge of procedures and technical concepts within their own area, be able to evaluate complex situations using creativity and judgement, and be able to share their technical expertise with others and provide guidance and support mentoring new team members. Work assignments would include working directly with our highway/bridge engineers and technical staff in the development of construction plans and other engineering drawings, and assisting with the management of client CADD/CAE standards and tools, development of 3D design, and working with our design teams to come up with solutions that meet the needs of our Iowa and other Midwest clients. The minimum qualifications for this position are:• Associates Degree or 2 years of formal technical training, or equivalent experience• 3+ years of experience as a CADD/Drafter Technician

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:• Microstation proficiency • Experience with Geopak for preparing drawings• Familiarity with Iowa Department of Transportation-DOT CADD permits requirements in the preparation of bridge/roadway design plans
