Athene Actuarial Systems Programmer Analyst II in West Des Moines, Iowa

Purpose:
Provides technical support for Actuarial Modeling Team tasks which are analytical in nature. These tasks include data cleaning, manipulation, reconciliation and analysis. Executes quarterly extract builds and coordinates with internal teams.
Accountabilities:
Develop Python scripts to conform data into extracts that can be consumed by actuarial modelling software
Executes quarter end extract builds in a timely and controlled manner
Reviews, audits, and evaluates data from third party administrators and reinsurance counter parties
Perform analysis, reconciliation, and cleanup of actuarial python code base
Develops and documents solutions to reduce the time needed for quarter end
Works with business users to translates their needs into output they use
May participate on projects as requested
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, business/data analytics, finance, math, accounting, business or related field
Three plus (3+) years data manipulation and reconciliation experience
Programming experience preferred (Python, R, SQL, SAS, or similar language)
Experience using version control software preferred (Git, GitHub)
Analysis experience desired (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, etc..)
Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Good oral and written communication skills required.
Must have good interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
