Great River Health Systems Secure Car Driver | PRN | Secure Car Department in West Burlington, Iowa
Minimum Hiring Wage:
From $16.00 per hour

Scheduled hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm or 7:00am - 3:30pm
Job Description:
Provides intra-facility transports of mental health patients using a secured car. Responsible for documentation of patient transports.
Participation in educational programs and in-services as well as performance of miscellaneous related duties.
Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional care.
Provides high quality patient-centered transportation services to the following customer populations: Public; Patients; Allied emergency personnel; Students doing field internships.
Qualifications:
Required Skills, Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
- Iowa chauffeur license or Illinois equivalent
Desired Skills, Education and Experience
Experience in EMS at any level, preferred
Previous healthcare experience
Previous clinical experience
Previous direct patient care experience
Ability to communicate effectively with patients
Ability to communicate with hospital staff and respond quickly to patient behavioral changes
Ability to use discretion and courtesy when working with patients, visitors, and staff
Basic computer operation skills
Basic Microsoft windows experience
Efficiency in multitasking
Ability to prioritize simultaneous situations
