You will be responsible for design/development of new filtration monitoring technologies that help us work towards our strategic plan. Donaldson possesses great industry breadth and diversity of products, which affords great flexibility in growing your career as you gain engineering experience. In this role you will work on products that will be applied to a vast array of applications including engine air filtration, engine liquid filtration and industrial filtration systems.You will bring value to Donaldson through:Demonstrating innovation by utilizing a variety of tools and resources available in a technology driven company.Recognizing customer input and translating into new products, applications, and technologies.Becoming a subject matter expert in developing new innovative products focused around filtration monitoring/health.Includes but not limited to plastics, injection molding, IoT/Connected space and basic electrical engineering knowledge.Utilizing established business practices such as APD (Accelerated Product Development), CQP (Change Qualification Process) and FMEA's (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) to develop new products.Using your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to design advance engineering projects.Managing test programs to ensure products are meeting expectations.Providing design guidance and input on products.Identifying new opportunities for technology in the marketplace and aide in the growth of Donaldson's IP portfolio.Candidates most successful in this role possess:Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.Minimum 5 years related professional engineering experience.Demonstrated ability and interest in innovation and creativity.Proven ability to translate development activities into commercially viable technologies and products.Preference given to engineering experience developing products with applications in fluid handling and filtration.Demonstrated technical leadership and project management skills in a cross functional environment.Must possess strong mechanical engineering acumen as well as demonstrated accomplishments.Strong technical and analytical skills, experience in part and assembly design, GD&T, tolerance stack up, and analyzing and interpreting FEA analysis results.Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels.Experience in with a variety of materials including plastics and metals a plus.Experience with NX (Unigraphics) and Teamcenter a plusAbility to travel 10 %.Job - Engineering/DesignJob Level - Individual ContributorEducation Level - Bachelor's DegreeLocation - Waterloo, IADonaldson is an equal opportunity employer.
