Function: Product Engineering

Title: Part-Time Student-Product Engineering-Waterloo IA - 70259

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.

Your Responsibilities

  • Position is on the Large Tractor Vehicle Product Engineering team at the Product Engineering Center in Waterloo, IA.

  • Supports product engineers in completion of activities to deliver large tractor product designs.

  • Learns and applies company product engineering policies and practices; learns company products.

  • Assists in development of design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance.

What It Takes

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology; others may apply

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university

  • If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4 year degree

  • Graduation date of May 2022 or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis

  • 16-20 hours/week during the academic year

  • 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester

  • Mechanical aptitude to perform design and layout work

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Mechanical background with a desire to design and create mechanical components

    and systems

  • Knowledge and experience with 3D modeling software (preferably Pro/E Creo)

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
