Function: Quality Engineering

Title: Electrical Quality Engineer - 38703

Your Responsibilities

As a New Product Quality Engineer, you will perform quality planning activities related to the assembly of electrical and electronic components, modules or tractors on new product programs. In addition, you will:

  • Participate on PDP (Product Delivery Process) teams as the Quality representative, ensuring quality activities and plans are formulated and followed

  • Participate in Design Process and Assembly Reviews (DPRs), print reviews, and design reviews of new products

  • Use quality tools and practices to ensure the identification of quality concerns for internally manufactured parts and assemblies

  • Lead cross functional team to create Process FMEAs for the assembly of electrical and electronic components on the tractor

  • Establish and execute valid process control strategies to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations

  • Facilitate quality activities to ensure manufacturing processes are capable

  • Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause for quality problems, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years of experience as a Quality Engineer for electrical and electronic components and systems

  • Experience in roles that demonstrate an understanding of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis

  • Experience with advanced data gathering and statistical analysis techniques

  • Experience in drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Demonstration of effective (verbal and written) communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in manufacturing technology of electrical and electronic components

  • Experience in Assembly Quality or Component/Supplier Quality

  • Experience executing statistical tools and techniques in Statistica, Minitab or R

  • Experience working with appearance components and their assembly processes

  • Experience with agricultural equipment or other on/off highway machinery

  • Knowledge of vehicle systems interfacing with electric drives such as engines, gearboxes and vehicle controllers

  • ASQ certification in Quality or Six Sigma

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
