You will also be responsible to direct and coordinateactivities involving fabrication, operation and application of electricalsystems.Demonstrate innovation and provide value to our customers utilizing a variety of tools and resources available in a technology driven company.Identify new opportunities for technology in the marketplace and aid in growing Donaldson's IP portfolio.Execute projects to ensure DCI meets objectives as defined by our customers.Research and analyze information such as customer design proposals and specifications to determine feasibility of design and application.Coordinate designs with Manufacturing and Marketing to assure cost effective products for production.Participate in the planning, coordination, and writing of procedures, FMEA's (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), PRR's (Problem Resolution Reporting) and others, as required and in accordance with the quality system.Assist in facilitating specifications, Value Engineering and cost reduction programs that involve manufacturing, marketing, and all other DCI functions.Assure that designs conform to technical requirements provided by customers.Define, execute, and report design validation testing.Utilize and refine established business practices to develop new products.Direct laboratory functions for product testing and prototype construction.Candidates most successful in this role possess:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 3 years of related engineering experience.Knowledge of CAN bus protocol, various programming languages and IoT.Demonstrated competency in the following areas: electronics, circuit design, analytical testing and evaluation and project management.Ability to be strategic and visionary driving big picture engineering concepts, while preserving the details.Demonstrated project management skills.Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels.Ability to travel 10%.Job - Engineering/DesignJob Level - Individual ContributorEducation Level - Bachelor's DegreeLocation - Waterloo, IADonaldson is an equal opportunity employer.
