Role Summary
TheMaintenance Technicianwillsupport manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance area/shift leader.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot/repair problems on production equipment of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic in nature
Implement/improve preventive maintenance programs for equipment, perform scheduled maintenance on facilities and production equipment
Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files
Remain current on maintenance and safety requirements
Complete all work in accordance with IOSHA, NEC, JIC and IDNR standards and regulations
Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software
Maintain repair parts stock and inventory
Work in a safe and productive manner with a sense of urgency to achieve maintenance deadlines and to attain production priorities as scheduled
Carry out assigned work as directed
Communicate about maintenance concerns, providing complete action plans and status reports as and when required
Work with vendors/contractors, displaying company values of honesty and integrity
Work with all in design and development of improving methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
May be required to adjust shifts as necessary
Follow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa and Magna’s operating principles
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems
Basic computerproficiency in Microsoft Office software
Must have good organizational skills
Ability to exhibit high integrity and honesty
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, equipment instructions, requirements and business correspondences and effectively present information to various groups
Fabrication and mechanical skills
Ability to obtain and maintain fork truck certification
