Brokers International Contracting Specialist in Urbandale, Iowa

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Contracting Specialist to join our Annuity and Life departments' sales support teams. As the Contracting Specialist, you will support agent activities, including providing insight, data entry, product, and sales tool support to agents, marketers, and wholesalers. What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Prepares and sorts contracting documents and identifies and interprets data to be entered. Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from contracting documents into database following format displayed on screen and enters necessary information.

  • Verifies data accuracy with customers and works to answer questions, resolve inconsistencies, or retrieve missing data.

  • Makes necessary corrections to information entered.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Updates, manages and organizes internal files.

  • Sends document information, files, and data to appropriate carrier(s).

  • Serves as our operator overflow by taking phone calls as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of related experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong work ethic

  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
