Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a School Cafeteria Employee. As a School Cafeteria Employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students and staff have access to nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and fostering a positive dining experience for all. Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve meals according to established guidelines and portion sizes
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cafeteria, including dining areas, serving counters, and kitchen equipment
Ensure that food is stored properly and adhere to safety and hygiene standards
Handle cash transactions and operate cash registers or other payment systems accurately
Assist with meal planning, including menu development and ordering of ingredients
Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions
Monitor and enforce compliance with school policies, such as lunchtime behavior and litter disposal
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
Knowledge of proper food handling and safety techniques
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Familiarity with cash handling procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
