Sheldon Community School Dist Communications Coordinator in Sheldon, Iowa

The Sheldon Community School District is seeking to fill the part-time position of Communications Coordinator. The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive and dynamic marketing and communications strategy for the school. The Coordinator is responsible for capturing our students educational experiences and sharing their stories, through various media including print, digital, and video.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communication/Content Generation
  • Manage (with support from students/staff) athletics communications
  • Special features around important milestones
  • Stay current on programs, positioning and marketing and communication strategies developed by peer schools
  • Media and Advertising
  • Photography/Video
  • Website (working with the website team)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Marketing and communications skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, all social media platforms and online content management system
