Job Summary

This position is responsible for the direct selling of new and used powersports and lawn & garden equipment and accessories to meet or exceed sales budget targets. The role will take ownership of working with new and existing customers throughout the entirety of the sales process. Provide supplementary support for Parts and Service departments as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Represents the company for the sale of powersports and lawn & garden products at the dealership

-Prospects for new customers and responds to inbound inquiries and leads regarding existing products in inventory

-Provide supplementary support for Parts and Service departments as needed

-Demonstrates product features, technology, and articulates the benefits of all products offered for sale

-Operates all equipment that is offered for sale by the department as part of the demonstration process for prospective customers

-Maintains all customer information for sales management, tracks leads and progress, monitors trends in customer business activity, and provides updates on a schedule or as requested basis

-Understands and adheres to all defined sales process including the timely submission of invoices and other required sale documentation

-Stays abreast of available financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods

-Resolves customer concerns within the department and escalates where appropriate

-Attends applicable sales training events/seminars as required to stay current on product knowledge, skills and capabilities

-Maintains knowledge of used equipment values to evaluate properly for trading purposes

-Any other job duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

-2+ years of past successful sales experience in a relatable field. Knowledge and experience with Polaris, Yamaha, and John Deere brands strongly preferred

-Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferre d

-Excellent customer service skills to provide and exceptional customer experience

-Passion for powersports and lawn & garden products and activities

-Use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Drive

-Ability to work Saturdays as scheduled

-Excellent Time management and organizational skills

-Results oriented with a high level of self-initiative to deliver on sales goals

-Excellent communicator, verbally and in writing

-Team oriented and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members

-Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports

-Valid driver's license with insurability under company’s fleet insurance policy required

-Exemplifies the values of the company

-Must be professional and presentable. This is a customer facing role and represents the company’s brand.
