Work Shift

1 - First Shift

The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a lean flow of information in the form of various documents, internal ordering processing, and job scheduling to the shop floor along with information to other departments and services. This position provides information and supplies to the shop floor to ensure Company products are built to the best standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.

  2. Generate, date, sort, and release work orders and parts orders for production runs to the shop floor. Provide work orders to all manufacturing groups (weld, machine, etc.).

    1. Review production schedules and determine the schedules for production runs (work orders and shop packets).

    2. Receive and document data from shop floor personnel to maintain various charts, schedules, and tables related to shop floor production.

    3. Determine course of action to maintain proper inventory levels of VIN tags, technical manuals and other materials necessary for compiling work orders.

    4. Close all work orders by collecting finished work order documentation and entering serial numbers for all parts.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to perform intermediate PC functions including spreadsheet formulas and functions, queries, tables, merges, and special reports.

  • Knowledge of production processes and MRP system.

  • Ability to effectively manage time to meet department, production, and overall Company schedules.

  • Ability to maintain accuracy in data entry.

  • Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.

  • Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting the department.

    Travel

  • Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.

    Work Location

    ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
