Sinclair Tractor Sales Representative in Ottumwa, Iowa
At Sinclair Tractor, we pride ourselves on being the destination in Southeast Iowa for agricultural equipment, precision farming, agronomic decision support, NAPA parts and computers. With eleven John Deere dealerships, five NAPA parts locations and a computer service location, we are looking for motivated and talented people to join our team.
SINCLAIR TRACTOR is seeking an energetic, driven and professional individual to join the Ottumwa, IA office location as a Sales Representativewith the primary responsibility of selling agriculture equipment to existing and future customers. This candidate will develop and maintain a high level of product and market knowledge and maintain customer relationships through follow-up and field demonstrations.
In this position, you would have the opportunity to develop your own sales territory by maintaining relationships with current customers and bringing in new ones to drive business. You will be an ambassador of our company, becoming a trusted face to our customers while also adhering to company values and policy.
As a member of our team, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to provide service and support to your customers as needed, which may include coordinating with other departments. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO (you may request further detail):
Communicates with all current and potential customers on a regular basis, providing solutions as needed, and oversee all sales activity in your assigned sales territory.
Coordinates with other members of the sales team and team leaders as needed to generate sales and provide excellent customer service.
Identifies market potential by qualifying accounts.
Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentation; understanding account requirements.
Closes sales by building rapport with potential account; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
Maintains current product knowledge of all equipment, parts and services available to customer accounts
Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customer accounts
Reports competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management
Develops an effective and production working relationship with Sales Associates, Service and Parts and support personnel; encourages and assists in their training and development when possible
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Routinely communicates schedule to location contacts
COMPENSATION AND HOURS
Starting salary dependent on experience - room for growth and opportunity
Monday thru Friday with 7 am - 5 pm with the ability to work flexible hours as needed (Some Saturday’s may be required)
