Keurig Dr Pepper 2nd & 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanics in Ottumwa, Iowa
The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical / electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems.
Shift & Schedule:
These full-time positions will be based at our plant in Ottumwa, IA and will support either 2nd or 3rd Shift. The hours are as follows:
2nd Shift: 1:00 - 9:30pm CST
3rd Shift: 9:30p.m. - 6:00 a.m. CST
As schedules are subject to change according to changing business needs, additional flexibility to work overtime, including potential off-shifts and/or holidays, is required.
The starting rate of pay for this position is $27.03/hour. Benefits will be available after 90 days through the collective agreement.
Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
Weld various types of metals.
Machine most metals, plastics, and composites.
Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
Complete size changeovers, make adjustments, and trouble shoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
Identify problems and completes repairs, with minimal downtime or supervision. Strong troubleshooting skills.
Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic system such as solenoids, air cylinders
Troubleshoot conveyor system belts, sprockets, gearboxes, and shafts
Maintain high level of safety awareness
1 year maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment highly preferred, or 2-3 years of relevant experience in a more general mechanical / maintenance role
Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, walking and standing for long period of time
