Musco Lighting HVAC Technician in Oskaloosa, Iowa
Musco Sports Lighting is currently seeking an HVAC Technician in Oskaloosa, IA. The individual selected for this mission-critical role will be responsible for the installation, service, and repair of HVAC systems throughout the company's growing location portfolio.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Joins tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units by means of sleeves, couplings, or unions, and solders joints, forming complete circuits for refrigerants.
Connects motors, compressors, temperature and humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels, and connects panels to power sources.
Installs air and water filters and performs complete installations.
Remodeling or new construction to satisfy our internal customers at Musco.
Moves and installs required equipment and furniture and at all locations during normal business and after hours, as required
Make timely, justified decisions to meet customer demands.
Performs general facility maintenance as required.
Assists in snow removal during the winter months, as necessary
Education and Experience Requirements
Two years of education or experience acquired either through an accredited apprentice program, technical school, or combination of school and experience.
Current HVAC Journeyman’s License or Masters HVAC license is a plus.
Applicants must be able to obtain a Master's license within 12 months of hire.
Good HVAC and construction knowledge or background
Basic electrical knowledge
Oral communication skills and ability to coordinate with outside vendors and internal customers
Knowledge in setting up machines and work stations in office and production environments
Excellent work ethics with the ability to work individually or in a team environment
Self-directed the ability to make decisions on your own and communicate those decisions to the Team Leader or Manager
Computer skills a must
Ability to do manual labor in all types of weather
