Graduate & Professional Studies Administrative Assistant
The Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) division seeks an administrative assistant (3/4 time) to work with faculty and staff to support GPS programs. The administrative assistant should possess excellent interpersonal skills when communicating face-to-face, on the phone and through email. She/he should show initiative by actively and independently seeking out ways to support the team, improve systems and efficiency, solve problems, and provide the best possible outcomes to students, participants, faculty, and staff served by the department. She/he should also be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and friendly, and have the ability to work in an environment with multiple directors with varied demands.
The successful candidate will have:
Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Fluent use of software, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Superior use of correct grammar, spelling and writing mechanics
Experience with event planning preferred
Experience working in education and/or customer service preferred
