We are a full-service Architectural-Engineering firm with a focus of serving our clients.i The successful candidate will be highly motivated, independent detail focused and client oriented individual.We have an immediate opening for a Geotechnical/Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Engineer to provide geotechnical/CMT services to our clients on design and construction projects in the Nebraska/Iowa area.i Position can be in either our Omaha, Lincoln or CouncilBluffs office.Duties include:Business Development in the Nebraska/Iowa market sectorInvolvement in various aspects of geotechnical engineering projects from pre-construction geotechnical engineering analysis to final construction geotechnical inspectionInvolvement in various aspects of Construction Material TestingProposal preparation, analysis and report preparation associated with geotechnical engineering and CMT projectsManagement of sub-consultantsPerformance of geotechnical analysis, engineering and design of shallow and deep foundations for building structures, transportation structures; embankments; retaining walls; and underground structuresDevelopment of plans and specifications related to geotechnical engineeringPreparation of geotechnical memorandums and reportsMentoring and training of junior staff as department growsThe candidate applying for this position should meet the following requirements:BS in Civil Engineering program from an accredited School of EngineeringMS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Engineering focus preferredNebraska or Iowa PE registration is requiredMinimum of 7 years experience in geotechnical engineering practiceExperience with Business Development for a Geotechnical MarketProven experience in foundation analysis and designProven experience in geotechnical project planning, design and preparation of reportProven experience in preparation of geotechnical portions of plans and specificationsAbility and willingness for travel and fieldwork assignmentsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience the many opportunities our firm has for your personal and professional growth.
