Applications are being accepted for the full-time position of Assistant/Associate Director for Annual Giving. Under the direction of the Senior director of Advancement Operations, and working closely with the Director of Annual Giving Operations, the Assistant/Associate Director of Annual Giving supports the College's overall fundraising goals. Specifically, this person leads the overall design, implementation, and operation of the student calling program, crowdfunding, and new initiative efforts in support of the college's annual giving program. This includes hiring, training, and managing student callers and working with other campus partners during some evening and weekend sessions. Additionally, s/he assists with the development and coordination of direct print and electronic solicitations as well as the annual day of giving program. The Assistant/Associate Director will be involved in Leadership Annual Giving and may directly solicit a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree and one or more years in fundraising or marketing, or equivalent experience. Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, etc.). Experience working with new technologies and software programs. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively, interact professionally in a variety of situations (in person and on the telephone). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must have valid Iowa driver's license and be insurable to drive.

Preferred Skills

Two to three years in fundraising with experience in a call center environment or marketing. Experience working in a college or university setting.This position will remain open until filled, and applications will be reviewed as received.
