Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment.Ability to set-up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form or paint quality finished or semi-finished parts.Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation. Mark part number, order number, number of pieces on parts. Attach identification tags as required for customer to have the ability to locate correct parts. Interpret blueprints, specifications, and/or other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts.Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area.May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Shop Supervisor.Qualification Requirements:To perform satisfactorily in this position, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Some positions may require advance mathematics.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form a must.
