As a Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor, you will develop a deep understanding of maintenance responsibilities. You will assess and initiate opportunities for improvement. You will create and promote a team-building environment that promotes stakeholder engagement, innovation, and safety. This position is responsible for overall plant maintenance including scheduling, planning, prioritizing work, purchasing, employee supervision, training and development. The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for managing capital projects and supervision of contractors
40% Supervise plant Maintenance Stakeholders and 3rd party contractors in reliability and proactive maintenance. Ensure effective and efficient maintenance which facilitates and environment of engagement and continuous improvement.
20% Accountable for maintenance, utilities, equipment repair, and plant upkeep. Troubleshoot causes of plant equipment problems. Oversees coordination of proactive and reactive activities on a daily basis. Develops and maintains plant preventative maintenance programs.
20% Provide leadership in the areas of customer focus, continuous improvement, food safety, personal safety, and environmental safety as they relate to maintenance activities. Support a ZERO injury culture and drive continuous improvement to safety and safety programs. Ensure contractors and employees comply with all relevant Governmental and Cargill Safety Requirements.
5% Support the development and maintenance of energy efficient systems with demonstrated continuous energy use improvements.
10% Conduct employee development including reviews, technical training, EHS training, and PMP process training.
5% Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
2 year technical degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Computer skills including use of Word, Excel, and Outlook. This includes a basic understanding of spreadsheets and databases.
Strong communication (verbal and written) – ability to interact and influence a diverse group of people.
Experience building a culture of teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and empowerment of employees.
Strong problem solving skills in a complex environment.
Engineering Degree in similar field
2-5 years of project management or supervisor experience in food operation/processing and/or manufacturing environments
Working knowledge of processing plant/equipment
Computer literacy and eagerness to learn SAP/PPE systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Problem solving mentality
Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal departments (Production, QA, Warehouse) contractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
Eagerness to learn Utility systems
