Job Title: Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Technician

Compensation: $70,000 annually
Requirements: You are required to provide your vehicle capable of carrying a telecom ladder as well as tools. You have experience splicing fiber optic cable.
Minimum Requirement: 1 year of FTTH experience with splicing.

We are currently seeking a skilled Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in our ongoing projects to expand fiber optic network coverage.
Job Summary: As an FTTH Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cables directly to homes and businesses. You will ensure that customers receive the fastest and most reliable internet, TV, and phone service possible. This role requires a mix of technical skills, customer service, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables and systems in residential and commercial settings for the purposes of installing internet, television, and phone services.
Troubleshoot and repair issues with fiber optic infrastructure, including signal loss and connectivity problems.
Interact with customers to schedule installations and repairs, explain the process, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints to accurately install and route fiber optic cables.
Work closely with network engineers and other technicians to identify and resolve network issues.
Ensure all installations and repairs meet industry standards and company specifications.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers on how to maximize their internet service.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training or certification in telecommunications, networking, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as an FTTH Technician or similar role in the telecommunications industry.
Strong understanding of fiber optic technology, installation techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information in an understandable manner.
Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and blueprints.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical ability to perform job duties, including working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and occasionally outside of regular business hours for emergency repairs.
