Description The Project Manager has increased responsibility and authority for the implementation and execution of Nuclear Projects. This includes having an advanced understanding of the project scope and requirements and having ownership for timely delivery, profitability and price uplift. The Project Manager has responsibility for developing and executing the Project Plan and is responsible to the Customer, the Contractor, the LBP and the company for overall success and execution of the project. The Project Manager will also provide direction and mentor Nuclear Business Unit team members. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage next generation nuclear projects ( Primary contact for Local Business Partners (LBP) or customer representative for assigned project related activities. Negotiate, or provide support to the LBP and/or WA PM (intercompany projects), the initial scope of the project, change orders, progress payments, Terms & Conditions and all additions or expansions to the project with the Customer, LBP and Nuclear Applications Engineering Sales Team. Lead internal and external communication meetings to ensure alignment Lead the Customer Post Award meeting (or pre-PO meeting) when the order is committed to Emerson Lead the Internal Kick-Off Meeting to resolve all open issues and provide clarity to the Execution Plan Coordinate the Pre-Inspection Meeting with the Customers Inspector and achieve clarity to the inspection requirements Understand comments to technical product specs, Legal T&Cs, Commercial T&Cs, ASME code and quality assurance program. Lead and participate in joint project specification and design review meetings during project pursuit or post award Determine critical path elements for risk mitigation and ensure alignment with the Customer on the Flow Controls Commitment Date and the Customer PO Dates including milestone dates for drawing and procedure submittals, drawing and procedures approvals, equipment inspection notifications, and Ready for Inspection dates Ensure the PO to Quote reconciliation is completed, which includes resolving all issues prior to PO acceptance Effectively monitor internal support personnel responsible for completion of project activities which can include, but are not limited to Order Administration, Engineering, Drafting, Test and Evaluation and Manufacturing. Proficient understanding of order requirements and address changing needs to provide direction for internal and external stakeholders to appropriately manage the dynamics of those changes. Develop and own the Project Plan that includes schedules, milestones, procurement strategy, execution strategy, financial targets, resources, communications and considerations of risks Ensure that project invoicing is completed per contractual agreements and assist the LBP and Customer Financial Services in resolving invoicing discrepancies. Interface and continuously communicate with the Customer, Contractor and LBP throughout the life of the project to provide updates, milestones, and progress. Mentor Project Management Specialists or other Fisher personnel who wish to seek further Project Management knowledge Identify and coordinate any closing activities or lesson learned opportunities to improve process or tool efficiencies.
