UnityPoint Health Clinic Maintenance Lead in Marshalltown, Iowa
Responsible for day to day operations at UPH owned or operated clinics and assist in the assignment of work. Work with the frontline staff on the morning and afternoon shift meeting daily as needed. Follow up on quality assurance; both Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance. Perform rounds of the property and follow up on identified issues.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment throughout the hospital clinics. Responsible for complex mechanical, inspections, monitoring activities, servicing, making repairs, and overhaul of equipment and facilities. Plan, organize and oversee complex projects. Serves as a subject matter expert, with little to no supervision, in areas such as electrical, plumbing and/or heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC) as described by the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau.

·Repair pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems throughout the hospital as assigned.
·Responds to fire alarms with all-purpose fire extinguishers; responds to disaster alerts and drills; maintains internal security and continuation of utilities during these emergencies.
·Assist other trade personnel as needed in handling materials on major repair or installation projects.
·Coordinates with the Regional Director and department Manager concerning assignments and keeps Manager informed of activities, needs, and problems.
·Asset in setting up and coordination of moves in the hospital.
·Ensures adequate levels of supplies, materials, equipment; orders/requisitions tools and materials as needed for assigned work; advises supervisor when reordering necessary.
·Daily record keeping input into work order system to monitor work orders and completion of daily assignments. Follow up on quality assurance; both Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.
·High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of healthcare maintenance.This can include working at hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
·Minimum of seven years related training and experience in electrical, plumbing and/or heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC) or 10 years’ experience in general maintenance.
Preferred or Specialized:
·Multiple state licenses or relevant certifications preferred.
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Chauffeurs License (Class D) required within 3 months of employment.

Licensed to practice in the State of Iowa in electrical, plumbing and/or heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC).
Certified Healthcare Facility Technician
Able to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Basic computer Knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, web browser and TMA.
Use of basic hand tools and power equipment
