Behavioral Strategist II
(Kindergarten-8th Grade)
2024-25 School Year
Qualifications:
- Proper Department of Education certification (Strategist II)
- An understanding of the unique needs of grades K-8 students with behavioral, social and emotional needs and a strong desire to work with elementary level students
- Collaborative and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage and maintain a flexible daily schedule
Preference will be given to the candidate who:
- Possesses the best qualifications and trainings to meet the needs of the students
- Has a working knowledge of strategies to meet the behavior and academic goals of special education students and Building Initiatives (PLC/PBIS)
- Presents the strongest interview
Duties:
- Plan, provide or facilitate the academic instruction, behavior accommodations and/or the health needs according to student IEPs
- Supervise and oversee the daily schedule of Special Education Associate
- Work collaboratively with students and staff to meet the building and districtwide initiatives
- Will serve as part of the districts challenging behavior team
- Will collaborate with the building team (teachers, support staff) to determine transitions plans
- Communicate and collaborate with outside agencies
- Attend a bi-weekly Cardinal Academy CTT meeting
- As per job description
- Other duties as assigned
Rate of Compensation: As per 2024-25 Teachers Master Contract
