- Valid Iowa Teaching License with appropriate endorsements for HS English Language Arts.
- Willingness and ability to acquire regular and provisional endorsements as needed. The district may help pay for coursework to obtain needed endorsements.
Description:
Madrid Jr/Sr High School is actively seeking a HS English Language Arts Teacher to join our team starting in the fall of 2024. We offer a positive school culture and a supportive community located just outside the Ames, Ankeny, and Des Moines areas. Come join our team!
Performance Responsibilities:
Highly motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic about working with students.
A solid understanding and experience in using multiple teaching methods: Collaborating, co-teaching, whole/small group/individualized instruction.
Demonstrate an understanding and ability to implement the MTSS process and use data to support supplemental and/or intensive interventions.
Evidence of effective routines and procedures that lead to a positive classroom environment that promotes student achievement.
Knowledge of and experience with using current technology to enhance learning.
A desire for growth through professional goals and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and district experts.
