JOB SUMMARY:Repair various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment.Efficiently transport a wide range of items to or from customers in a manner that meets customer requirements.WORK PERFORMED:* Read job cards to determine: job status, work authorizations and limitations, estimate, description of problems, and/or expected serviceability.* Testing electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (ac or dc).* Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment noting part identification, configuration and condition.* Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including but not limited to: parts washers/steamers.* Note proper replacement parts and correctly requisition needed items as approved by supervisor.* Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies, including but not limited to: bearings, brushes, fans, end bells, fan shields, etc.* Re-testing reassembled electro-mechanical equipment for proper output and operation.* Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.* Operate specialized repair and testing equipment and other equipment not limited to: test panels, surge testers, high pot, tester, grinders, cranes, fork lift trucks, megger, various handheld power tools, non-power tools.* Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.* Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.* Assist other mechanics or other shop personnel in skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.* Transport and deliver goods in accordance with a schedule, including emergency, rush deliveries or pick-ups that require overtime.* Insure that loads are properly secured, within weight limits, and that truck is operated in a safe manner.* Work all hours needed to satisfy Northwest Electric, Inc. customers including nights and weekends.* Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:* Minimum level of education: High School diploma.* Preferred: Technical school training* Must have a valid driveris license and good driving record.* Must provide a valid phone number.Northwest Electric, Inc. is a 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year sales and service operation. With that in mind, all employees are required to provide the company with an effective means of communicating with them, when necessary, on an after-hours basis.
