Role Summary

As a Technical Product Manager in Corteva IT, you will provide technical direction for a global software engineering team focused on providing our customers with the highest availability experience attainable. You will be responsible for driving large-scale digital initiatives that innovate in and continuously improve the Corteva business landscape.

You will help establish technical standards and drive Corteva’s overall technical architecture and engineering practices and scale them to create and fulfill our goal of an exceptional, contemporary and common Corteva customer experience. You’ll work on Corteva’s hardest problems, building high quality, architecturally sound products that are aligned with our business needs.

You will design and drive technology solutions that will reduce time to market, standardize execution, and scale for expansion globally. You will be a technology leader, builder, and operator who plays a key role in the evolution of our IT organization.

Key Responsibilities &Accountabilities

  • Defines,influences and executes on a defined product roadmap for one or morebusiness areas

  • Expected toarticulate and write product strategies, working with cross-functionalgroups to achieve support as necessary

  • Develops clear,detailed, and thorough specifications for complex services and features ofproducts

  • Articulates keyproduct messaging for business and IT colleagues, most notably, IT BusinessPartners and ITLT members

  • Manages theend-to-end lifecycle(s) of complex products

  • Viewed as aproduct expert for one or more products and as having broad experiencethat is helpful on new initiatives within and outside of those directlyaccountable for

  • Creative indesigning solutions and recognizes best design practices

  • Has deepunderstanding of platforms, tools, and technology in product area

  • Consults onepics, user stories across multiple complex and cross-functional feature/service areas as required

  • Has deepsubject-matter expertise in a given area and understanding of how to matchand deliver digital solutions to business needs

  • Evolving thetechnical direction of the products

  • Works closelywith Business Owners, Product Owners, and IT Business Partners to ensurethat the right products are delivered to meet Corteva’s most pressingbusiness needs

  • Maintains currenttechnical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on alook out for new technologies and work with the team in bringing in newtechnologies

  • Translate ahigh-level organizational objective to an executable initiative as part ofa product backlog

  • Lead a productthrough its lifecycle and initiatives within it from inception tocompletion

  • Provide uppermanagement and stakeholders with timely status updates

  • Manage andcontrol changes to a product by working with stakeholders

  • Identify thecritical path of work to assess and mitigate risks for meeting businessobjectives

  • Establish andlead regular operating rhythms with relevant stakeholders to cover bothstrategic and operational opportunities and issues and drivedecision-making and action

  • Maintain productdashboard to track various KPIs – both internal and customer-oriented

  • Create andmaintain tools to track product and team metrics or enhance delivery andteam productivity

  • Mentor and coachteam members

  • Foster a work environmentfor team members to grow and keep morale high

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Experience taking a leading role in leading teams in building contemporary software products, services, and systems

  • Experience in the collaboration arc typically associated with technical product management, including, but not limited to managing and influencing product direction and roadmaps in concert with business representatives and IT colleagues

  • Experience building and leading teams of both employees and contractors to deliver digital products

  • Experience developing and managing product roadmaps and their associated budgets and funding models

  • A history and dedication to delivery through Agile best practices

  • Strong technical vision, judgment and an analytical approach to solving complex business challenges through digit products and services

  • Experience in building processes, and managing large-scale projects in a cross-functional environment under the umbrella of technical product management

  • Experience taking a leading role in leading teams in building contemporary software products, services, and systems

  • Experience in the collaboration arc typically associated with technical product management, including, but not limited to managing and influencing product direction and roadmaps in concert with business representatives and IT colleagues

  • Experience building and leading teams of both employees and contractors to deliver digital products

  • Experience developing and managing product roadmaps and their associated budgets and funding models

  • A history and dedication to delivery through Agile best practices

  • Strong technical vision, judgment and an analytical approach to solving complex business challenges through digit products and services

  • Experience in building processes, and managing large-scale projects in a cross-functional environment under the umbrella of technical product management

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new opportunities

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisions

  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

  • Experience in communicating with executives to describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

  • Experience working with technologies such as Azure/AWS, Angular and Python preferred

  • Experience with Finance and Budget management

Experience and Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical product/program management or related function.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
