Corteva Agriscience Product Manager, Sales Enablement in Johnston, Iowa


Role Summary

As a Technical Product Manager in Corteva IT, you will provide technical direction for a global software engineering team focused on providing our customers with the highest availability experience attainable. You will be responsible for driving large-scale digital initiatives that innovate in and continuously improve the Corteva business landscape.

You will help establish technical standards and drive Corteva’s overall technical architecture and engineering practices and scale them to create and fulfill our goal of an exceptional, contemporary and common Corteva customer experience. You’ll work on Corteva’s hardest problems, building high quality, architecturally sound products that are aligned with our business needs.

You will design and drive technology solutions that will reduce time to market, standardize execution, and scale for expansion globally. You will be a technology leader, builder, and operator who plays a key role in the evolution of our IT organization.

Key Responsibilities& Accountabilities

  • Defines, influences and executes on a definedproduct roadmap for one or more business areas

  • Expected to articulate and write productstrategies, working with cross-functional groups to achieve support asnecessary

  • Develops clear, detailed, and thoroughspecifications for complex services and features of products

  • Articulates key product messaging for businessand IT colleagues, most notably, IT Business Partners and ITLT members

  • Manages the end-to-end lifecycle(s) of complexproducts

  • Viewed as a product expert for one or moreproducts and as having broad experience that is helpful on new initiativeswithin and outside of those directly accountable for

  • Creative in designing solutions and recognizesbest design practices

  • Has deep understanding of platforms, tools,and technology in product area

  • Consults on epics, user stories acrossmultiple complex and cross-functional feature/ service areas as required

  • Has deep subject-matter expertise in a givenarea and understanding of how to match and deliver digital solutions tobusiness needs

  • Evolving the technical direction of theproducts

  • Works closely with Business Owners, ProductOwners, and IT Business Partners to ensure that the right products aredelivered to meet Corteva’s most pressing business needs

  • Maintains current technical knowledge tosupport rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for newtechnologies and work with the team in bringing in new technologies

  • Translate a high-level organizationalobjective to an executable initiative as part of a product backlog

  • Lead a product through its lifecycle andinitiatives within it from inception to completion

  • Provide upper management and stakeholders withtimely status updates

  • Manage and control changes to a product byworking with stakeholders

  • Identify the critical path of work to assessand mitigate risks for meeting business objectives

  • Establish and lead regular operating rhythmswith relevant stakeholders to cover both strategic and operationalopportunities and issues and drive decision-making and action

  • Maintain product dashboard to track variousKPIs – both internal and customer-oriented

  • Create and maintain tools to track product andteam metrics or enhance delivery and team productivity

  • Mentor and coach team members

  • Foster a work environment for team members togrow and keep morale high



  • Experience taking a leading role in leadingteams in building contemporary software products, services, and systems

  • Experience in the collaboration arc typicallyassociated with technical product management, including, but not limitedto managing and influencing product direction and roadmaps in concert withbusiness representatives and IT colleagues

  • Experience building and leading teams of bothemployees and contractors to deliver digital products

  • Experience developing and managing productroadmaps and their associated budgets and funding models

  • A history and dedication to delivery throughAgile best practices

  • Strong technical vision, judgment and ananalytical approach to solving complex business challenges through digitproducts and services

  • Experience in building processes, and managinglarge-scale projects in a cross-functional environment under the umbrellaof technical product management

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discusstechnical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new opportunities

  • High attention to detail and proven ability tomanage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metricsto back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisions

  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll upone’s sleeves to get the job done.

  • Experience in communicating with executives todescribe software product features, technical designs, and productstrategy

  • Experience working with technologies such asAzure/AWS, Angular and Python preferred

  • Experience with Finance and Budget management

Experience andEducation Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience intechnical product/program management or related function

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science,engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
