RoleSummary

The Product Leader is responsible for the overall end-to-end lifecycle for product strategy, product design, product development oversight, product marketing, launch, and divestment. The Product Leader leads a cross-functional team, including Product Management, QA / Testing, and Processes / Controls. Products included in this Leader’s responsibilities are those associated with Compliance & Stewardship.

KeyResponsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Leadproduct strategy, product design, product development oversight, productmarketing, launch,and divestment

  • Shapeproduct strategy with key stakeholders in IT and Corteva

  • Gather,track and synthesize customer feedback on products and from other teams (i.e.,partners, ecosystem)

  • Developproduct management capabilities and promote agile practices as warranted; build expertiseand share among all product managers; train/advise product managers with regardto allelements of product lifecycle

  • Leadoversight and quality assurance services for all product launches

  • Makedecision on product go/no-go, product acquisition/divestment, and productdiscontinuation

  • Runstage-gate validation for all products, including prototyping, productdevelopment, acceptanceof requirements documents, acceptance of architecture

  • Ensurethat all product managers conduct market validation for products in consistentway

  • Determinelevel of funding for each product for product managers to allocate towardproduct development,implementation, maintenance, etc.

  • Promoteinnovation and efficiency across product family team

  • Proactivelyidentify prospective portfolio opportunities and risks

  • Developdeep understanding of Corteva strategic/operational challenges, and determinehow to meetthose needs

  • Identifyopportunities to leverage existing products or elements of products acrossCorteva’s business

  • Identifyopportunities to bring forward new products based on an understanding ofCorteva’s capabilities and latent products

  • Manageproduct-class view of products across portfolio (e.g., oversee productmanagement for processautomation, predictive analytics, market insight)

  • Ensurefunding is well spent on management / development activities, managingtrade-off betweenre-use of existing technology and speed-to-market

  • Ensureproducts meet Corteva business goals and score well in customer feedback

  • Ensureshared services functions (QA / Testing, Processes & Controls) successfullydeliver services to other Corteva IT product teams

Experienceand Education Requirements

  • Minimum10+ years in IT with 5+ years in a Product Leader role

  • Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration,Engineering or equivalent work experience.
