Position objective:The Senior Product Manager provides experienced product management leadership and is accountable for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of products throughout their lifecycle, as well as supporting the need for continuous incremental innovation that results in a world class user experience.

The Product Manager II is responsible for the execution of the day-to-day development, management, service, and operational aspects of the product strategy.


Typical work-related activities include:

Senior Product Manager

  • Execution of product strategies including product launch and sunset

  • Achieving volume, revenue, and margin targets as well as other key performance metrics

  • Manage product change including release of new versions, operational and system updates

  • Analysis of desirability, viability, and feasibility for incremental innovations of products

  • Collaborate with Corporate Market Research team on qualitative and quantitative market research

  • Rapid prototyping and usability testing using internal and external resources

  • Support development of business cases

  • Utilizing Agile methodology, prepare epics, break down epics into features, and prioritize while working closely with product owner and other key business owner(s)

  • Day-to-day management of product related strategic partnerships

  • Monitoring and management of commercial readiness for new and existing products and services including development and management of product service models

  • Strong customer advocate able to provide insight into educational market and competitor trends

  • Support development and communication of product road map and vision

  • Collaborate with product managers, product owners, business analysts and cross functional teams

Product Manager II

  • Product roadmap development and communication

  • Create volume and revenue forecasting

  • Provide operational support for multiple areas including technical, customer service, professional development, and implementation

  • Business case development

  • Conduct analytics on product performance

  • Perform NIHITOs

  • Support product launches and sunsets

  • Develop and execute product pricing and packaging strategies

  • Develop and refresh annual product strategy

  • Create market research strategy

  • Develop product marketing strategy

  • Provide legal support including policies and terms

  • RFP support

  • Support early adopter testing and field testing/studies

  • Identify and support development of strategic sales tools

  • Develop strategy and content for internal/external training

  • Develop and deliver internal and external product presentations and demos

  • Support development of technical documentation and online help


Minimum Qualifications


Senior Product Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business administration or marketing

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired

Product Manager II

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area required, preferably in business or education

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired


Senior Product Manager

  • Minimum of five years’ experience either in product management or development required

  • Minimum of five years of experience working in education industry or for an education institution preferred

  • Experience with the following preferred:

  • Lean and Agile software development principles and tools

  • Pragmatic Marketing Framework preferred

  • Design Sprint and rapid prototyping processes

  • Online assessments

  • Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas

Product Manager II

  • Three years of experience either in product management, project management, marketing, product and technology integration, or assessment support required
