UNIVERSITY OF IOWA CSS Director of Operations in IOWA CITY, Iowa

Position Summary:Provide overall operational leadership for the University of Iowa Health Care Central Sterilization Services (CSS) Department which includes an off-site integrated supply and instrument distribution service center and an on-site instrument turn center. Develop goals, objectives, policies and procedures for the department. Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate daily activities. Prepare operating and capital expenditure budgets. Perform personnel administration functions. Ensure environment of care and processing workflows are compliant with regulatory and accrediting agency standards and guidelines. Assure quality standards and practices are maintained for all items processed and packaged, as well as, the timely delivery to the surgical sites being serviced. The role is responsible for the performance management of department staff in coordination with department leadership team. Initiate and maintain effective communication to promote positive department relations. Provide support to the perioperative services staff and serves as a liaison to the Surgical Services Subcommittee.
