HARTLEY-MELVIN-SANBORN COMM SCHOOLS Elementary Special Education Teacher (Strat 1 and 2) in Hartley, Iowa
The HMS Community School District is looking for qualified applicants to fill a 1.0 FTE Elementary School Special Education position for the 2024-2025 School year. This position will serve students in grades K-4. Ideal applicants will need to have or be willing to pursue an Instructional Strategist I - Mild/Moderate endorsement or Strategist ll endorsement are encouraged to apply. Specific duties will be discussed after learning about the candidate's qualifications.
HMS Elementary School serves approximately 260 students in grades preschool-4th grade and is located in Hartley, Iowa. It is a PBIS school and the HMS School District uses the PLC Model of collaboration to collect data and plan for student success. Thanks to a very supportive community, HMS Elementary School opened a brand new building four years ago and encourages staff and student collaboration. We are located in beautiful Northwest Iowa, just 40 minutes south of the Minnesota border and the Iowa Great Lakes/Okoboji area, 70 minutes from Sioux City and 90 minutes from Sioux Falls!
