Our subsidiary company is involved in concrete sawing, core drilling, and joint sealing (All Concrete Cutting Co.).
JOB DESCRIPTION
United Contractors, Inc. is currently seeking a Field Service Mechanic to service our bridge construction jobs in Iowa and surrounding states as well as our shop facility in Grimes. Qualified mechanics should be able to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, man lifts, power units and other construction equipment and tools related to bridge construction. Specific knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, diesel engines and small engines is a plus but we are willing to train. A service truck and all required tools are provided by the company. The applicant will not be required to own any tools.
Associates Degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Must have, at a minimum, a Class B CDL or the ability to get one within 3 months.
Must be able to pass a DOT Interstate Non-Excepted physical and pass a drug screen.
Must be willing to travel overnight as required.
Must bring a positive attitude and the ability to work safely and follow safety rules.
