Position Title: Purchasing & Warehouse Assistant

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Purchasing/Inventory Manager

FLSA Status: Full Time Regular; Hourly

Job Summary:

Responsible for the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch company goods.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in receiving incoming inventory, supply and equipment purchases for all laying/plant facilities and offices

  • Assist in pulling inventory orders and scanning out items to correct location

  • Prepare all paperwork and review for accuracy for both incoming and outgoing inventory and product orders

  • Load, deliver and unload deliveries to all facilities

  • Review orders to determine quantities required are not excessive specifications meet CV standards

  • Maintain records of facility transactions and product inventories

  • Use Excel to create daily receiving log/spreadsheet and proof it against receiving paperwork.

  • Perform inventory cycle counts and certain weekly counts

  • Verifies receipts of products with purchase orders

  • Create labels and documentation of new inventory items

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Follow all company bio-security protocols


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 1-2 yrs experience

  • Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred

  • Attention to detail

  • Valid Driver?s license

  • Computer Skills
