Description and Responsibilities

Foster a successful, accountable 1Kerry oriented work environment

  • Responsible for following all applicable quality and food safety procedures and policies

  • Ensure fellow employees, contractors and visitors are following all applicable quality and food safety procedures and policies.

  • Ensure adherence to proper personal safety regulations, policies and procedures

  • Observe all safety and quality guidelines

  • Must be able to operate machinery and perform tasks in the production and packaging of food products

  • Must be familiar with machine functions in order to perform the above stated tasks

  • Obtain forklift certification specific to Kerry (certification will be obtained during orientation)

  • Must be able to lead and help train fellow team members within the departments

  • Follow all GMP’s, personal safety, and food safety guidelines

  • Observe all legal and quality process control policies and regulations

  • Accurately maintain company records and forms

  • Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition

  • Complete all operator testing requirements

  • Other duties as assigned by management


High School graduate or GED preferred from an accredited school: must be able to communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding and terminology of the job

  • Previous machine operating experience in food or manufacturing industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Desired):

  • Ability to work as an effective team member; includes accepting supervision/assistance from other team members

  • Detail oriented and self-directed

  • Able to read and interpret plant production documents

  • Ability to learn and operate machinery by a computerized control panel

  • Possess Basic keyboard and data entry skills

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions

  • Have basic math and mechanical skills

  • Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency
