Our team is rich in diversity and our culture encourages continuous personal growth and teamwork in all we do.Job Title:Production Manager/Continuous ImprovementPosition Summary:The Production Manager/Continuous Improvement is responsible for daily oversight of the production operations through proper leadership and direction of the site Production Supervisors. This position will also be directly responsible for leading the advancement of the Continuous Improvement effort within the Fort Madison Operation. This position will be ultimately responsible to ensure that each manufacturing shift manufactures materials in accordance with all ISO Procedures, approved product specifications, and all quality testing and/or machine specific procedures. The position will be a liaison between the manufacturing operations and all other internal teams to ensure our customer expectations have been met in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Production / Continuous Improvement Manager will help develop, implement and train programs in the health and safety area to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel.Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:Provide focus, direction, leadership and training to all manufacturing shifts in the areas of (Safety, Quality performance, Employee Management, and Manufacturing Productivity).Ensure safety is considered in all appropriate business activities and hazards are documented prior to facility, equipment, process or materials changes or modifications.Support external quality issue resolution in a direct and timely manner.Understanding of our customer base and their markets and processes, and the ability to interface with customers to understand and solve issues to grow our value.Train and administer root cause analysis investigations to reveal and capture wisdom from all near miss and/or failure occurrences.Achieve alignment with the Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing Organizations to increase our quality performance and create customer value.Lead and direct the overall Continuous Improvement Process for the facility by providing training to the organization on the use and practice of Lean methodology and tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Design for Lean, etc.)Provide daily updates relating to manufacturing efficiency and waste performance. Provide detailed action plans for improvement actions.Constantly strive to eliminate waste and improve customer satisfaction via the use of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.Lead on-going training program within the skilled machine classifications to ensure maximum flexibility for manning each machine.Ability to travel 10% - of the timePerform other duties and responsibilities as directed.Candidate Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Operations Management, Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience required.Black Belt Certification or the ability to become certified through an accredited organization preferred.5-7 years combined of technical, manufacturing, and/or quality management experience preferably in a printing, laminating or other flexible packaging operation or a combination of education and experience preferred.Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing TQM, ISO, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is preferred.Proven operational leadership directing multiple individuals or teams demonstrating positive results in a metric / goal-structured environment.Proven technical leadership with the ability to utilize structu
