Iowa State Job Bank Employer Electronics Lab Technician in FORT MADISON, Iowa

The Electronic Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing validation testing on mechanical and electrical products to verify functionality, physical degradation, and product operation across a variety of physical and environmental parameters.Position Responsibilities: Performs testing as specified per customer and/or international standards and requirements. Routinely uses the equipment below. Multi-meters, o-scopes, and other electrical Laboratory equipment. Force meters, torque meters, and other parametric equipment. Complex mechanical fixturing and setups, actuators/cycling equipment, and other mechanical test equipment. Capable of recording, verifying, and reporting test data for a variety test types, and output formats. Records critical test observations in a prescribed format capturing the specific event, root cause, and corrective action. Performs routine maintenance and verification checks of equipment as required. Maintains basic workplace 5S practices. Updates test documentation and records as required for tracking purposes. Reviews test data to assure that testing is performed correctly as needed. Qualifications:Technical Degree in Electronics or Mechanical fields (or 2 years equivalent experience).Strong Computer Skills with a focus on MS Office programs (required).Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical issues.
