A Day In The Life Typically Includes: Ensuring the facility's electrical and grounding systems are operating reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with all electrical safety regulations and codes Providing electrical expertise to implement changes by developing scope, estimating costs, designing, constructing, purchasing, and installing new, or modifying existing equipment and systems that support the improvement of safety, efficiency, reliability, waste reduction and increased machine utilization Promoting safety through proactive involvement in training, adherence to the plants safety program, and implementation of Electrical Safe Work Practices Ensure all activities are aligned to with Georgia-Pacifics Market Based Management (MBM) and Guiding Principles Assisting in the implementation of division engineering standards, and participate in facility evaluations for technical improvements Planning and overseeing the testing of electrical and electronic equipment and devices on a scheduled basis Working with plant based personnel providing supervision, technical assistance and training to plant electrical technicians Managing electrical projects from conception and design to commissioning. Typical projects would include upgrades and improvements to electrical systems that support production enhancements of safety, quality, or quantity Executing plans to address cost reduction, equipment installation, optimizing utilities and energy consumption and other items to keep the plant running smoothly and generate measurable benefits to the plant operation Researching new operational methods, techniques and equipment and recommends their application Updating electrical drawings in AutoCAD Identify and implementing electrical improvements that result in year-over-year improvements in safety, production, maintenance, and costs Demonstrated technical writing capabilities What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED A minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated electrical, and project management experience Electrical Maintenance Supervision or Management experience Experience working a continuous manufacturing process Hands-on experience with 3-phase motor controls, 480V A/C systems, and low voltage D/C systems Aptitude and experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical distribution systems.
