About the role

As a CBRE Cleaning Supervisor, you will supervise the staff responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.

This job leads all aspects of the cleanliness of client buildings.

The hours are approximately 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday.

What you’ll do

Ensure that the team meets all required Health and Safety requirements, whilst delivering a high-quality service.

Establish work schedules and lead the team's daily activities, to deliver the clients expectations.

Schedule daily staff meetings, assign tasks and required in-service training sessions.

Coach the team through application of site processes and procedures.

Maximize resource cover by driving cross training within the team.

Maintain cleaning equipment condition in a compliant manner and order cleaning supplies as needed.

Coordinate and collaborate closely with clients and employees, to evaluate new requests, provide feedback on work status and to discuss ideas / feedback.

Routinely Inspects work done by cleaners, to drive the standard of execution, and submits daily cleanliness reports.

Initiate regular training on procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.

Ensure standardized cleaning process meets company standards.

Resolve problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.

Identifies improvements opportunities, including increasing the scope of the janitorial team or changes to make the team more efficient at delivering the service.

Evaluate and establish new techniques to ensure the team can meet its objectives.

Defines the team objectives and provides input on the objectives of related teams.

Responsible for performance management and development of team members.

Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.

Model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect Integrity Service Excellence) values.

What you’ll need

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience with 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Understanding of operational Health, Safety & Environment requirements – risk assessments, control of chemicals, PPE etc.

  • Ability to explain complex concepts or critical information.

  • Experienced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills with an inquisitive mentality.

  • Outstanding math skills including the ability to calculate figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
