We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician at our Dysart, IA production location, where we challenge ourselves year-round to find innovative ways to serve our customers. This multi-crop facility offers a variety of tasks and activities, enabling you the opportunity to enjoy a change of pace throughout the year while always advancing your skillset! Responsibilities - What you can expect:
Harvest activities such seed sampling, truck unloading and equipment operation.
Production activities such as seed conditioning, treating, packaging, rework, labeling and quality inspections.
Warehousing activities utilizing forklifts to collect samples, pool products, sort returns and loading trucks.
Field activities such as scouting, inspections and managing logistics.
Use of automation and computerized systems to perform work tasks (computers and iPads).
Basic preventative maintenance activities where you will learn to inspect equipment to ensure reliability.
Training and collaborative oversight of new and seasonal workers.
Various other duties as assigned by supervisor that will help us meet the needs of our customers and support the overall wellbeing of our location.

You have your High School Diploma or GED.
You are seasoned in the working-world and/or have at least two years of education in operations, manufacturing, agriculture or warehousing.
You have a valid driver’s license, so you can drive a company vehicle to field locations when needed.
You don’t mind working in different environments and are willing to get the job done in a variety of weather conditions.
You are also willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
You understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps our company viable. You are willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime hours as needed. You accept that weekend work may be required during seasonal peaks to achieve our goals.
Preferences – It would be great if you have:
Computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
SAP or similar enterprise management system experience.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work.
Forklift operation experience.
General knowledge or experience in the agriculture industry or manufacturing/production environment.
