What does a Relationship Development Specialist do?
We call ourselves the “Special Forces!” Using our communication superpowers to bring business back to Dupaco! Relationship Development Specialists are expert behind the scenes lenders for business development. You will review yesterday’s applications to see if the documents are signed, fund and book loans, then send paperwork and follow up information out to our lenders. Follow up on email leads that came in and research which members to contact to see if we can bring their loans back to Dupaco and save them some money. Call members to talk about their goals and offering our products, services or advice. Your effort drives your results and those results transition into cross sales.
What training is available?
We offer advanced training in member service, lending, calls and list homework (a device we use to find members that need our help). You’ll be trained one on one with the best Agents in our field. You’ll learn our top secret information to save our members from the clutches of high interest rates!
What experience or skills do I need to be a successful RDS?
At least one year of experience in a Credit Union setting with thorough knowledge of lending and collection laws, Dupaco policies, procedures, regulations, products and services is helpful
Marvelous member service and communication skills
A background in lending is beneficial
Ability to call, email and think out of the box to attract business to Dupaco
Ability to analyze situations, exercise judgement, and make educated decisions
What are the career growth opportunities with this position?

With the advanced product knowledge and extensive relationship building, any type of position is a possibility. Increasing your security clearance to a Community Outreach & Education (SEG) Representative or Branch manager position is not out of the question.
