The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Outreach Coordinator. The Outreach Coordinator plays a critical role in assisting and educating our students and their families in the financial aid process both on campus in within the community. The Outreach Coordinator is one of two front line staff who have varied duties described below.
Coordinator Specific Duties:
Partners with the Coordinator of Admissions Communications and Marketing in event planning where Financial aid would be represented both on and off of campus
Organize campus and community outreach events focused on FAFSA completion and financial literacy
Asist in endowed scholarship selection and awareness efforts
Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receive and handles all incoming student documentation (e.g. verification etc) and follows up with students regarding missing information in a timely manner.
Works with multiple electronic financial aid reports on scheduled and ad hoc basis
Coordinates, trains, and oversees student workers in the following areas:
Answers telephone inquiries oversees the Financial Aid email account and greets visitors.
Opens and sorts mail daily and handles mailings.
Orders and maintains office inventory.
Keeps storage areas in order and purge old records when necessary.
Employee must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, customer service experience and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Bachelor degree required and experience in financial aid highly preferred. A preference for someone with strong Microsoft Office skills, financial aid, and Datatel experience is highly recommended.
